Homemade Mounds Bars

Ingredients:

chocolate wafers, crushed to crumbs
6 tbsp. melted butter
6 tbsp. confectioners' sugar
14oz. bag flaked sweetened coconut
14oz. can sweetened condensed milk
1-1/4 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup heavy cream

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350f. pour melted butter over crushed wafers and stir, now add confectioners' sugar
and stir until completely combined. Press this mixture evenly in a 13x9 inch pan. Combine sweetened condensed milk and coconut together spread the coconut mixture evenly over the wafer crumbs and put in the oven and bake for 20-25 mintues or until golden brown around the edges.

 Let cool while making the chocolate sauce for the top of the bars. In a sauce pan on medium - high heat add the heavy cream when the cream starts to form small bubbles around the pan cut the heat off. Pour the hot cream over the chocolate chips let  this mixture stand for 3 minutes.

Use a whisk and stir until the cream and the chocolate has combined, pour this mixture over the cooled coconut spread the chocolate evenly with a off set spatula put the pan in the refrigerator for 2-4 hours or until the chocolate has set. Cut into bars or diamonds. Enjoy!
