Makes about 3 dozen Cookies
Ingredients:
1. 2 1/4 cups of All Purpose Flour
2. 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
3. 1 teaspoon Salt
4. 1 Cup of Butter (Softened)
5. 3/4 Cup of White Sugar
6. 3/4 Cup of Brown Sugar
7. 2 Large Eggs
8. 1 teaspoon of Vanilla
9. 1, 12 oz bag of Chocolate Chips (Milk, Semisweet, or Dark)
Directions:
1) Start off by pre-heating an oven to 375 F. Set an un-greased cookie sheet to the side for later.
2) In a small bowl, whisk the flour, baking soda, and salt. Put this aside for later.
3) In a larger bowl with preferably a hand-mixer, put the butter in the bowl and cream for about a minute until fully softened. Add the sugars and cream for about 4 minutes until the sugar is nicely dissolved. The butter should look a little lighter.
4) Next, add the eggs in seperately. Add the vanilla and mix.
5) In about 3-4 times add about 1/2 of the flour mixture in the butter-sugar-egg mixture. Do not overmix because the dough can get tough. Scrape the sides of the bowl to collect all of the dough.
6) Now with a spatula, add the chocolate chips. I like using the technique known as folding which is turning the bowl around continually bringing the dough from the bottom of the bowl to the top. (Watch the demonstration if confused)
7) Lastly, I like using a little ice cream scoop and put about a heaping tablespoon of dough onto the pan. Put a dozen on the pan.
8) Put the pan into the pre-heated oven and bake for about 9-11 minutes until nicely golden!
9) Take out and let cool for a few minutes before taking off the pan.
