Ingredients:
2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
1¾ cup sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
juice of 1 lemon and zest
1 tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. salt
3 cups flour
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add egg and vanilla and mix well. Add lemon juice, zest, salt, soda, and baking powder and mix well.Add flour and mix until combined. Dough should be thick and crumbly. Drop spoonfuls onto a baking sheet and bake at 350 F. for 8-10 minutes. Makes 5 dozen.
