Homemade Hamburger Helper

Ingredients:

1 pound of ground beef
1 cup of water
2 cups of milk
1 3/4 cups of elbow macaroni
1 tbsp. of corn starch
1 tbsp. of chili powder
1/2 tsp. of onion powder
1 tbsp. of sugar
1 tsp. of garlic powder
3/4 tsp. of salt
3/4 tsp. of paprika
1 tsp. of pepper
1 cup of cheddar cheese, grated
2 tsp.. of Worcestershire sauce

Directions:

In a zip lock bag, combine the corn starch, chili powder, onion powder, sugar, garlic powder, salt, paprika, and pepper. Seal the bag and shake the ingredients until they are well combined. You can make up a few of these bags and put them in the cupboard for quick use in the future. Add a bit of oil to a preheated pan. Place the ground beef in and fry it over medium high heat until it is lightly browned. Add in the milk and water. Bring it to a boil. Add in the Worcestershire sauce and the spices. Allow it to simmer over low heat, stirring occasionally,  for about 20 to 25 minutes until most of the liquids have boiled off. Turn off the heat and stir in the cheddar cheese. Serve and enjoy your hamburger helper.
