Blueberry Chocolate Chip Muffins

1 1/2 cups all- purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup light brown sugar
2 bananas, mashed
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
1/4 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips


Preheat oven to 375 F
Sift the first five dry ingredients together. In another bowl, mashed bananas, buttermilk, vanilla, vegetable oil, and eggs blend together using a whisk.  Add the banana mixture, blueberries and chocolate chips to the dry ingredients.  Stir until just blended.  Spoon into prepared muffin tins and bake 20 – 25 minutes.
YIELD: 12 muffins
